Bringing Joy to Western Pennsylvania Families Through Community Partnership
We're thrilled to share the success of this year's Stuff-A-Bus event at Robinson Town Centre. From December 1st through December 5th, thousands of 96.1 KISS listeners joined us in supporting the Marines' Toys for Tots Program, and we were honored to contribute to this incredible community tradition.
What is Stuff-A-Bus?
Stuff-A-Bus is 96.1 KISS's annual campaign to fill buses with new, unwrapped toys benefiting the Marines' Toys for Tots Program. Run through the United States Marine Corps Reserve, this vital program distributes toys to groups and families in need during the Christmas season right here in Western Pennsylvania.
Over the one-week event period, thousands of dedicated KISS listeners made the journey to Robinson Town Centre, bringing toys to help stuff the buses. Every single toy collected stays local, supporting families throughout our region during the holidays.
The Payne Glasses Trackless Train: Creating Holiday Magic
Our Payne Glasses Trackless Train became a highlight of the week-long celebration, delighting families as it circled the Robinson Town Centre parking lot. Operating from 5-8 pm on Monday the 1st, Wednesday the 4th during 84 Lumber Night, and Thursday the 5th during All Ways Safe Night, the train provided entertainment for children while their families contributed to this meaningful cause.
The train's popularity was remarkable. Throughout each evening, we maintained steady ridership with excited children and grateful parents who appreciated the festive atmosphere.
A Week of Community Connection
96.1 KISS broadcasts live from Robinson Town Centre throughout the week, creating an energetic, festive atmosphere that draws consistent crowds. The Holiday Tent welcomed visitors who made Stuff-A-Bus ornaments and sampled holiday treats, adding to the celebration while keeping the focus on giving back.
The multi-day format allowed us to connect with different segments of our community each evening. Special sponsorship nights, including 84 Lumber Night and All Ways Safe Night, brought additional visibility and support, demonstrating the power of multiple businesses uniting around one charitable mission.
Making an Impact Through Engagement
Working alongside 96.1 KISS, Pittsburgh's top music station, amplified our ability to serve Western Pennsylvania families. This partnership brought together the reach of a major radio station with our commitment to local communities, creating an event that truly resonated throughout the region.
Our merchandising efforts enhanced the festive atmosphere and sparked meaningful conversations with attendees. Throughout the week, we documented the experience through photos and videos, capturing children's joy on the train, families generously donating toys, and the collaborative spirit that makes Stuff-A-Bus special. These authentic moments showcase what happens when a community unites to support families in need.
The consistent turnout exceeded our expectations. Evening after evening, families arrived ready to participate, many making the Payne Glasses Trackless Train ride part of their donation experience. The energy, generosity, and community spirit we witnessed reinforced why events like Stuff-A-Bus matter so deeply.
Gratitude and Looking Forward
We're deeply grateful to 96.1 KISS for organizing an exceptional week-long event and for welcoming Payne Glasses as a partner. Their professionalism, energy, and genuine commitment to serving people in need made every moment of our participation meaningful.
Thank you to the thousands of KISS listeners who brought toys, rode the trackless train, visited the Holiday Tent, and embraced the spirit of giving. Your generosity directly impacts local families, and your participation reminds us why community events like Stuff-A-Bus deserve our full support.
Why Stuff-A-Bus Matters to Payne Glasses
This event reflects our deep commitment to Western Pennsylvania families and reminds us that we're not just an eyewear provider; we're neighbors, community members, and partners in making our region a better place for everyone.
The Marines' Toys for Tots Program touches countless families throughout our area during the holiday season. Children who might otherwise go without gifts receive toys that bring joy and remind them that their community cares. By providing the trackless train and partnering with 96.1 KISS, we contributed to an effort that filled buses with thousands of toys, each one representing hope, generosity, and the spirit of the season.
When we see families riding the Trackless Train, we're not seeing customers or potential customers. We're seeing our community: parents working hard to provide for their children, kids experiencing holiday magic, and neighbors supporting neighbors in need. That's what drives our involvement and inspires us to return year after year.
We invite you to follow our community involvement next year. From Stuff-A-Bus to local sponsorships and charitable initiatives, Payne Glasses will remain dedicated to supporting the people and places, and we will continue to participate in community activities.
Together, we're not just stuffing buses, we're building a stronger, more caring community for everyone who calls this region home.
