Find Out Your Glasses Fit in 3 Minutes

Finding the Perfect Frame Fit

Buying glasses online is fast, affordable, and full of style options—but there's one key to getting it right the first time: selecting a frame that fits your face.

Put in a few minutes upfront, and you'll avoid remakes, returns, or that "they just don't feel right" moment. Here's how to do it right.

Two Ways to Nail Your Fit

Already Have a Pair That Fits? Start Here

Flip them over and check the numbers printed inside the temple or bridge. You'll usually see something like 52 17 137. That's your:

Lens Width (A) = 52 mm
Bridge Width (DBL) = 17 mm
Temple Length = 135 mm

Use Filters to Find Your Fit

Whether you're shopping from a desktop or your phone, our Frame Size Filters make it easy to narrow down frames that match what you already have.

On Desktop:

Find the "Size" filter panel on the left side of any frame collection page.

On Mobile:

Tap the "Filter" button at the top of the page—just above the frames—to access the same options.

The filter works the same on all devices—it just moves to the top on mobile.

You can filter by:

  • Bridge Width → Stay within ±1 mm of what fits well for plastic frames, as the bridge is fixed and cannot be adjusted, or up to ±4 mm for metal frames with adjustable nose pads, which offer more flexibility for fine-tuning the fit.
  • Lens Width → Want a bolder look? You can size up slightly. If you're trying to match a current pair, stick to ±1 mm, especially if you're comparing the same frame shape.
  • Temple Length → Stick close to your known comfort range—within ±1–3 mm. Most frames are produced in 5 mm steps, so small differences are typically adjustable behind the ear.

When in Doubt, Click Into the Frame

Once you find a style you like, click on it to view full measurements under the "Details" tab—including:

  • Lens Width
  • Bridge Width
  • Temple Length

New to Glasses (or Didn't Love Your Last Pair)? Try This

If your old pair didn't sit right, or you're new to glasses altogether, just use your PD as a starting point and think about these clues:

  • Glasses slide down? The bridge may be too wide.
  • Perch too high? The bridge may be too narrow.
  • Feel tight or flare outward? Temple length or overall width might be off.

Try to keep the Frame PD (Lens + Bridge) no more than 10 mm wider than your PD.

The sweet spot? 4–8 mm wider.

Pro tip: If you find a frame where the Lens Width + Bridge Width = 4–10 mm more than your PD, you're in great shape for a centered, comfortable fit.

Bridge Fit Guide for New Wearers

Look in the mirror and check where the top of your nose bridge sits about your pupils. This will help you estimate the best bridge width range for your face.

Use this quick guide:

Low Bridge

The bridge sits at or below your pupils:

→ Try widths between 16–18 mm

High Bridge

The bridge sits above your pupils:

→ Try widths between 19–21 mm

Narrow Bridge

A bridge is slim or pinched:

→ Look for 14–18 mm

Wide Bridge

The bridge feels wide or flat:

→ Choose 18 mm and above

Still unsure? Metal frames with adjustable nose pads give you the most flexibility to dial in comfort.

A Quick Word on Virtual Try-On

Virtual Try-On (VTO) is a helpful tool for previewing style and color, but it's not exact when it comes to fit.

  • VTO images are based on a front-facing camera, not precise 3D scans
  • They can't show how a frame will sit on your nose or wrap behind your ears

Use VTO for the look, and filters + measurements for the fit
